Harmonic's cOS Platform Supports DOCSIS and Fiber, Enabling Midco to Deliver Reliable Multi-Gigabit Connectivity to Subscribers

Harmonic's solution provides Midco with a robust network foundation to support DOCSIS and fiber services, powering the operator's $500 millionFiber Forward investment, an expansive commitment that leverages the company's robust fiber network and next-gen fiber technology to bring 10 gigabit speeds to the region.

Midco is deploying Harmonic's cOS broadband platform in a distributed access architecture (DAA) with Pebble Remote PHY Devices and Ripple modular DAA nodes. The Ripple nodes provide Midco with a flexible solution that opens a range of options for fiber service delivery. The comprehensive Harmonic solution provides Midco with a common platform for DOCSIS and fiber services while minimizing hardware and power requirements, significantly reducing expenses.
