Altech Advanced Materials AG (“AAM” ISIN: DE000A31C3Y4) announces that Uwe Ahrens has resigned from the Management Board as of today. This step is due to the fact that the company has successfully completed the announced reorganisation and, as planned, has sold its stake in the operating companies for the two battery projects CERENERGY and Silumina Anodes to Altech Batteries Ltd. in return for a block of shares. Uwe Ahrens will now focus fully on the planned industrialisation of these two Altech Group projects. As part of this, he will continue to act as Managing Director for the corresponding development companies Altech Industries Germany GmbH for Silumina Anodes and Altech Batteries GmbH for CERENERGY.

Dr Burkhard Schäfer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Altech Advanced Materials AG: "On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Uwe Ahrens for the very good and trusting cooperation over the last few years. The Supervisory Board and I wish Uwe every success in the further commercialisation of the two battery projects and the planned development of the production plants in Schwarze Pumpe. His continued success in these endeavours through the investment in Altech Batteries Ltd. will also remain decisive for our company."
