Beatriz Pirón, four-time Olympian, successfully breaks snatch world record at Enhanced Breakers 1 in Los Angeles on Saturday July 11th.

Beatriz Pirón Breaks World Record

Pirón’s 100kg snatch came just six weeks after she was forced to withdraw from competition at the inaugural Enhanced Games in Las Vegas after suffering an injury. The decorated Dominican lifter and four-time Olympian followed a highly personalized recovery and enhancement protocol in preparation for Enhanced Breakers 1.

"Beatriz broke the world record and showed what the power of enhancements can help make possible," said Max Martin, CEO of Enhanced. "At the Enhanced Games in May, she was forced to withdraw from competition after suffering an injury. Just six weeks later, she returned and broke a world record following a personalized protocol."

Thor Falls Just Short

Björnsson also brought drama to the event by successfully clearing 470kg (1,034lbs) before an unsuccessful attempt at 511kg, narrowly missing the deadlift world record. The performance came six weeks after Björnsson's deadlift attempt at the inaugural Enhanced Games in Las Vegas and marked the second of two world-record attempts Enhanced committed to when it signed Björnsson.

"Thor was also absolutely incredible today," Martin said. "The world record was not there this time, but that does not diminish what he has achieved,” added Martin. “We are proud to have an athlete of his caliber. Enhanced will always support its athletes and give them every opportunity to achieve the best version of themselves. This is a message we believe will inspire our customers to trust our brand while trying to reach their own personal best."

Martin noted that Björnsson, 37, a father of two, performed strongly in Los Angeles. During the event, Thor shared that he has never felt fitter at this stage of his life. Since he began working with Enhanced he has seen continuous improvements in his health and overall biomarkers, the clearest indication of how Enhanced intends to become a trusted performance and longevity products brand for its customers as interest in the longevity medicine sector continues to explode globally.

Become the Best Version of Yourself

The results of the first Enhanced Breakers event are proof of Enhanced's broader mission, which extends well beyond world records to what enhancements can help unlock.

"The event was not only about Beatriz or Thor," Martin said. "It was about demonstrating what enhancements can help make possible for all of us.”

While world records are extraordinary and exciting, the company is aiming to communicate to consumers that medically supervised enhancement should not be stigmatized and can help them achieve an improved overall vitality to their lives. Saturday’s event demonstrated that two athletes can do exactly that, delivering meaningful outcomes as the best versions of themselves safely under proper medical supervision. This inspiring message shows consumers what Enhanced’s product suite can potentially help them achieve in their own lives in a regulated fashion.

A New Event Series, and a Data Point for What's Next

Enhanced Breakers is designed as a recurring series, giving elite athletes a dedicated stage to attempt personal bests and world records outside the format of the annual Enhanced Games. The company will evaluate the reach, engagement, and commercial performance generated by the event to inform capital allocation across its sporting business including future Enhanced Breakers events, sponsorship packages, and its broader live events calendar annually.
