Elhim Iskra AD (Elhim-Iskra JSC) is a Bulgaria-based company that produces lead acid starter storage batteries, divided into four product lines: maintenance free starter batteries, max energy, batteries for motorcycles and standard starter batteries. The Company also produces traction batteries, intended for operating hoisting and hauling machinery. Elhim Iskra AD distributes its products in the domestic market, as well as exports them to numerous countries, including Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Italy, the Russian Federation, Greece, Ukraine, Germany and Romania, among others. As of December 31, 2011, the Company’s major shareholder was Stara planina hold AD with a stake of 51.40%.
