UBE Corp, formerly Ube Industries Ltd, is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the chemical, construction materials, and machinery businesses. The Company operates through four business segments. The Chemicals segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of nylon resins, caprolactam, industrial chemicals, polybutadiene (synthetic rubber), battery materials, and pharmaceuticals (bulk and intermediate products). The Construction Materials segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of cement, ready-mixed concrete, construction materials-related products, limestone, calcia magnesia, functional inorganic materials. The Machinery segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of molding machines (die-casting machines, extrusion presses, injection molding machines), industrial machinery (ceramic machines, crushers, conveying machines, dust removal machines, crushers), bridges and steel structures. Other Businesses segment is engaged in the sale, lease, and management of real estate.
