About the company

Genesis Energy Limited is an energy generator and retailer supplying electricity, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to customers in New Zealand. The Company's segments include Retail, Wholesale, Kupe and Corporate. The Retail segment includes supply of energy (electricity, gas and LPG) and related services to end users being Residential customers (Genesis Energy, Frank Energy and Ecotricity), Small & Medium Enterprises, and Large Businesses. The Wholesale segment includes generation and supply of electricity to the wholesale electricity market, supply of gas and LPG to wholesale customers and the Retail segment and the sale and purchase of derivatives to fix the price of electricity. The Kupe segment includes exploration, development and production of gas, oil and LPG, and supply of gas and LPG to the Wholesale segment and export of light oil. The Company's products include electricity, bottled gas, natural (piped) gas, dual fuel, electric vehicles and solar.
