About the company

Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company. The Company is engaged in the smelting of tin concentrates and tin bearing materials, the production of various grades of refined tin metal under the MSC brand name, and the sales and delivery of refined tin metal and byproducts. The Company operates through three segments: Tin Smelting, Tin Mining and Others. The Tin Mining segment includes activities involving exploration for tin resources and mining of tin. The Others segment includes investments in other metal and mineral resources companies. Its products are sold on the Kuala Lumpur Tin Market and London Metal Exchange, as well as to end-user markets worldwide. The Company, through its subsidiary, Rahman Hydraulic Tin Sdn. Bhd., operates an open pit eluvial tin mine in the country. Its other subsidiaries include MSC Properties Sdn. Bhd., M Smelt (C) Sdn. Bhd., Asas Baiduri Sdn. Bhd., SL Tin Sdn. Bhd., and others.
