Volcan Compania Minera SAA (Volcan) is a Peru-based mining company primarily engaged in the exploration and exploitation of such polymetallic ores as zinc, lead, copper and silver. The Company’s operations are mainly established in the Peruvian Region of Junin. Its operations are divided into three economic administrative units: Yauli, Cerro de Pasco and Chungar; each mining unit consists of one or more mines and treatment plants. Through its indirect subsidiary Compania Energetica del Centro SAC, is involved in the generation of electric power; as well as, through Minera Aurifera Toruna SAC and Compania Minera Huascaran SAC, it also extracts and exploits gold deposits. In addition, the Company owns such other subsidiaries as Empresa Administradora Chungar SAC, Empresa Explotadora de Vinchos Ltda Sociedad Anonima, Empresa Minera Paragsha SAC, Compania Minera El Pilar SA and Minera San Sebastian SAC, among others.
