About the company

York Timber Holdings Limited is an integrated forestry company. The Company is engaged in the operation of plantations, sawmills, a plywood plant and wholesale lumber sales. The Company’s segments include Processing plants, Forestry and Fleet, Wholesale, and Agricultural. Its Processing plants segment includes two divisions: Sawmilling and Plywood. Its Forestry and Fleet segment owns plantations in the Mpumalanga Province on which it grows pine and eucalyptus trees that are cultivated and managed on a rotational basis. The Wholesale segment consists of five distribution centers located in Germiston, Polokwane, Gqeberha, Durban, and Cape Town, which sell timber-related products from the sawmills, plywood plants and external suppliers. The Agricultural segment owns land with avocados, citrus, and macadamias orchards, a fruit packing facility and a sawmill that produces lumber and pallets in the Mpumalanga province.
