Zambeef Products PLC is a Zambia-based integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company. The Company engages in the production, processing, distribution, and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, milk, dairy products, fish, flour, and stockfeed. Its segment includes Retailing and cold chain food products and Cropping and Milling. The Retailing and food production segment sells cold food chain products, which are mainly beef, chicken, pork, fish, milk, leather and dairy products, as well as the sale of day-old chicks and stockfeed. The Cropping and milling segment sells wheat, soya and maize grain as well as flour mill and bread. The Company has approximately 236 retail outlets. It has five beef abattoirs, and three feedlots are located throughout Zambia, with a capacity to slaughter approximately 230,000 cattle a year. It produces chicken in Zambia, with a capacity of approximately 10.6 million broilers and 31.8 million-day-old chicks a year.
