About the company

Safaricom Plc is a Kenya-based technology company. The Company is engaged in providing a range of services and solutions, including mobile voice, messaging, data, financial and converged services, and digital services that enable commercial and personal platforms as well as ecosystem partnerships. The Company offers DigiFarm, which is an integrated mobile platform that offers farmers convenient, one-stop access to a suite of information and financial services. It offers loans and insurance to farmers. It provides M-PESA, a mobile phone-based money transfer service, payments, and a micro-financing service platform. It also offers Fuliza, which is an overdraft facility that enables customers to access an unsecured line of credit by overdrawing on M-PESA to cover short-term cash flow shortfalls subject to applicable predetermined limits. The Company offers Lipa na M-PESA (LNM), which enables merchants to transact using a till number to collect payments from customers.
